2010 Happy St. Patrick's
Day!
Our flight to Seattle was delayed 30
minutes but after about 5 hours of flying, we actually arrived on
time! Dinner in the plane was the usual....but thanks to Uncle
Clayton, bento from K's hit the spot! We will certainly miss the
warm weather of Hawaii. It is in the 40's right now and Kylie's
fingers were turning blue standing outside waiting for the hotel key card
to be fixed. The heater in the room just doesn't seem to work
fast enough. Reyna is going to sleep with socks on! Team PCA
will be hitting the water tomorrow at the pool. Good night for
now!

We woke up to 39 degree
weather....and this was at 9AM after the sun has been out for a
while! Breakfast at IHOP and off to the Super Walmart for some
sports drinks and water. Then Team PCA joined a few other Hawaii
teams in the pool for a good hour of warm-up time. The
Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center is an awesome indoor pool.
It was most recently the site of the 2010 Short Course National
Championships with Olympic swimmers in the competition! After a good
workout, Team PCA enjoyed some Washington sushi at a nearby kaiten sushi
restaurant. Everyone's favorite was the
Salmon S
kin
Temaki....no one dare try the "Strawberry
Sushi." (Yes, there was actually a strawberry rolled in rice.....)
The afternoon was spent at The Commons at Federal Way, an indoor mall just
up the street from the hotel, and of course at Trader Joes. Kylie's
wish of eating at Olive Garden came true as we slurped up some really
tasty pasta. I don't think the swimmers came up for air from their
plates! We were so full we had to pass up on dessert! Kylie
and Aimee have 2 events each tomorrow. There are about 1300 swimmers
entered in this meet.....more than last year! Swim FAST
girls!
