| Community Service ~ Easter Egg Hunt | |
| Thank you to the PCA Ohana for coming out to help at the Annual Waiau Easter Egg Hunt. The swimmers had fun spreading the colorful eggs for all the kids to pick up and fill their baskets. Mother Nature made the swimmers work hard by blowing the eggs into the corners of the basketball court and even blowing some under the fence and outside the area. The swimmers had to "scramble" to get the eggs back onto the basketball court for all the kids to pick up. While The senior swimmers had fun throwing a football during their "egg-break," Swimmers 12 years old and under got in the hunt in hopes of winning the grand prize: two Ripsticks. fortunately for PCA, they will be sticking to swimming for now. It was great to see everyone having fun while helping to make this year's Waiau Easter Egg Hunt a success. Happy Easter! | |

Annual Christmas Party |
The annual PCA Christmas Party "rocked" with performance by the PCA Rock Band, games and activities for kids and adults, an overflowing buffet table of delicious foods, and of course a visit by Mr. Santa with presents for all the good children. Thank you to all the families for the wonderfully delectable dishes.....one plate was not enough to try all the different foods. Plus, there was so much food that everyone was fortunate to take home a few containers of leftovers. Thank you to the senior swimmers for organizing the games and entertainment. Bravo to the wonderful emcee and the Santa helpers for a fabulous job done! The party began with a sugar cookie decorating activity. The messy but sweet icing proved a bit difficult to stick on the cookie decoratively, but everyone's creativity shined through. The finished cookie masterpieces did not last long enough on the plate as they were gobbled up immediately by their creators. Some cookies were fortunate to have their pictures taken before their short lives. (see cookie photos below) After the endless buffet line of great food, everyone was entertained by the PCA Rock Band. PCA totally rocks!!! Then it was onto the games....the kids were pretty quick in passing candy cane to candy cane, but the adults were not so fast in passing the marshmallow from straw to straw and some shouts of "DQ" could be heard. There were lots of smiles during the games, until it was strategy time for the White Elephant game. The popular gift this year proved to be the roadside emergency kit and the handcrafted picnic/camp plate and utensil boxes. No mercy for a good useful gift! The popular gifts traveled from adult to adult until the game was over. Finally, Mr. Santa stopped by "local style" dressed in ultra cool shorts to give all the children on his "good" list a special present. Thank you Mr. Santa, Uncle B and the PCA Ohana for helping to make another PCA event a fun and memorable one. Happy Holidays!
